Each year, we identify a handful of our 73,000 contract providers with our Company of the Year awards. And every year, we have the opportunity to highlight everything they do. Because this is an exclusive award, we select our winners based on a list of criteria, including their ability to consistently deliver on time and in full to customers, adopting their vendor technology to increase efficiency for themselves and shipments, and their effort to transcend and beyond to successfully support shippers’ needs. We also listen to our suppliers’ representatives, who tell us how our work with these carriers also makes the lives of our forwarders and truck drivers easier.
Making personal contact with the winners
Of course, our list of criteria does not cover everything about these suppliers. The best part of the awards for me is not only the fame that these leaders receive, it is also hearing their stories, connecting with them in person and learning what this award means to them. I like to know that some carriers are able to be at home more often with their families because we offer the heaviest load than anyone in North America, allowing truck drivers to optimize route selection and schedules. It is also stimulating to hear that they can carry more loads, innovate and grow their business faster because of the technology we have developed to drive efficiency and savings. Sometimes, our joint work even helps support the carrier’s ability to pass on a family heritage and it’s amazing to see. Here are some comments from vendors about what this award means to them.

As part of the celebration for the fourth annual event of this year’s Leading Awards, winners will also be recognized through CH Robinson’s ongoing supplier evaluation initiative, which donated $ 100,000 to drivers while encouraging people across the country to write digital thank you letters to truck drivers helping keep the world moving, even during an epidemic.
In honor of the 17 recipients of this year’s theme award, the CH Robinson Foundation increases the amount of its previous donation by $ 1 per thank-you note to $ 17 per thank-you note sent through ThankTruckDrivers.com. The donation, of up to $ 25,000, will be donated to the St. Christopher Relief Fund, which assists needy truck drivers.
