Reminder: Metro offering fare discounts as fare collection restarts on Metro buses on Jan. 10

A lot has happened in terms of price in the metro. Towards December this is a good opportunity to update everyone.

Ticket collection will resume on the Metro’s bus system on January 10.

Your fares help keep our system running, which is why we’re restarting the plane at the front door only and collecting fares on January 10th.

Some great discounts on our regular and low-income rates are also offered to help everyone get where they are going and save money.

We offer 6 months of discounted low-income (LIFE) cards.

Prices from January 10 to the end of July are:

$ 26 for a 30-day ticket (usually $ 76)

$ 6.50 for a 7-day ticket (usually $ 19.50).

In addition, if you sign up now, new LIFE riders will receive 90 days of free travel starting January 10, 2022, when fare collection begins again.

We also make it easier for you to apply for LIFE rates.

You can now complete LIFE requests online – here English and Spanish Versions.

All you need is basic information about you and each member of your household seeking a LIFE discount. You can take a photo of each ID with your phone and upload them as part of your application.

• If you have documents proving income proof, you can easily upload them with your application.

• If you do not have proof of your income, you can confirm your income yourself please.

• If you do not yet have a TAP card, you can now request one in the LIFE app for yourself and any member of the household requesting LIFE discounts.
