Europe’s cruise interior community prepares to meet in London

More than 200 exhibitors will attend the event at the ExCeL Convention Center in London

Europe’s sailing industry is scheduled to meet at the Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe (CSIE) on December 1-2 at the ExCeL Convention Center in London, UK, for two days of networking, product resources and conference meetings.

Among the highlights of the conference will be the reunion party on 30 November, which will be held at the O2 in London and will welcome visitors, exhibitors, sponsors and partners. On December 1, the day will end with Happy Hour, open to all who participate in CSIE. Finally, the event will conclude with the second annual interior awards of cruise ships, with the support of world sponsor Pencil Case, which will celebrate leadership, innovation and teamwork in the industry.

Cruise lines including MSC Cruises, Disney Cruise Line and P&O Cruise Line will participate in the event, joining shipbuilders such as Fincantieri, Meyer Werft and Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Among the 200 exhibitors will be a design studio De Jorio Design, YSA Design, SMC Design, Oliver Design, Naval Interiors Team and Fincantieri’s Marine Interiors.

Over 60 percent of exhibitors will be new to the show, with senior executives including Italian rug maker Loloey, who will showcase her new collaboration with designer Kelly Hoffen, and furniture designer Rossin, who will showcase his modular range of seats.

Outfitter Trimline will provide a private demo of its new Trimline app at its booth, proving its ability to offer its customers ongoing live access to their repair progress and all documentation. Bolidt flooring experts, meanwhile, will announce the winner of the Bolidt 2021 design challenge, which offered applicants the opportunity to submit their concepts for resin-based floor and wall coverings, artwork and other interior elements.

Alongside the exhibition, there will be a Cruise Conversations Live conference, which will take place throughout the two days of the exhibition. Speakers including Andy Yoyle from SMC Design, Anne Mary Golickstad from YSA Design and Aina Forsblum from Tillberg Design of Sweden will discuss topics such as sustainability, budget and accessibility, with sessions ranging from ‘100 ways to blow a budget’ to ‘Creating a sailing experience accessible to all’ .
